L.A.C.E. is an arm of the Governor’s Commission for a Drug-Free Indiana and is funded through fines paid by people convicted of alcohol or drug related offenses in the Huntington County courts.
Members of L.A.C.E. include Huntington Probation, Huntington University, parents, service providers, elected officials and concerned community members. The mission of LACE is to comprehensively gather data and assess needs regarding alcohol and drug abuse and addiction in Huntington County; to help access current and prospective funding sources for opportunities and programs in the areas of prevention, treatment and justice; to review grant proposals and give recommendations; and to pursue community involvement as needed.
